DECEMBER
Jan. 3 I'm now 21 weeks. I'm feeling the baby tons more. I keep trying to let Danny & Steffan feel, but every time I try, the baby stops moving. :( But, I'm sure they'll be feeling him in no time! I just read that a baby at 21 weeks weighs about the same as a mango, just over 1 lb and is about 11 inches long. However, mine is bigger than most so who knows! maybe he's 1.5 mangos! :)
Jan. 7 My cousin brought me over TONS of baby clothes! I had so much fun going thru them and thinking about our baby in them! The only bad part is, her baby was born in October, and ours will be born in May. So I'm not sure he'll get to wear a lot of the clothes since the seasons are different. Which totally bums me out because these are really great clothes! She also brought me over an infant car seat, snuggley and we'll be getting her changing table this weekend. All we really need is a crib (furniture wise) and she thinks her son MAY be out of the crib by May so we'll see! :)
Jan. 8

The baby is now 22 weeks! We went to the doctor and got a great report about our ultrasound a couple weeks ago. I asked if she had any thoughts on how big the baby will be and she said no. :( But she said everything was normal and looked good. Next visit is in four weeks and we'll be doing the glucose test. uh. That is so horrid. And then after that, we start going every 2 weeks to the doctor. I can't believe we're already at that point! :) Oh, I also got a flu shot yesterday. First one ever. I was really surprised that it didn't hurt! I think it hurt Danny WAY more than me. I think he was about to pass out! Just wait until we get into the delivery room! ha! ha! We should probably keep him in a chair, eh?

Steffan gets kicked! And the big news of the day... FINALLY somebody besides me got to feel the baby kicking!! I was sitting on the couch, Steffan was on the phone to his friend Aaron and the baby was kicking like crazy. So I called him over and put his hand on my belly and the baby kicked him a few times! It kind of freaked him out! ha! He said it was like the baby was telling him, "Get me out of here!" ha! So hopefully daddy will be next to get kicked!

Jan. 9 My aunt Vickie just told me that her and my other aunt Gloria and cousin Nicole are planning to have a baby shower for me at Gloria's house on March 22! :) I'm so excited!! This means we are getting closer and closer to seeing this baby!!
Jan. 12

HUGE NEWS DAY!! First baby news. Danny FINALLY got to feel the baby kick!! I can't tell you how happy that made me!! It seemed like every single time I would tell him to put his hand on my stomach, the baby would stop moving. And let me tell you... this little guy is ACTIVE!!!

Now for other news. As some of you may know, we had our house on the market late last year for about a week and took it off because we were just not ready to sell. We felt like we were being rushed and decided there was no hurry. Since finding out we're pregnant, we decided to go ahead and place our house on the market either this month or February, but wanted to do a couple things around the house to get it ready to show. Of course, we haven't had any opportunity to do those things! :)

Well, we got a call from our realtor (who is working with us on building our new house and was going to put our house on the market when we were ready). He told us there was a guy looking for a house in town but nothing appealed to him and he just knew our house was a perfect fit and would like to show it (even though it's off the market). We thought... sure!

The guy (and his fiance) came to look at the house this past Saturday. As Danny and I left the house we were talking and said that even though the house isn't "show" ready, if these are the people God wants us to sell to, He'll allow these people to look past it's cosmetic flaws.

We got a call that afternoon... THEY PUT AN OFFER ON THE HOUSE!!!! And we got what we wanted out of the house too! We are absolutely in shock, and amazed and overwhelmed with joy and AWE of what God did! We signed the contract on Sunday and we will be closing on February 14. Which, as most of you know is already a big day for Danny and I... that's when he proposed to me! :)

It's kind of short notice... and we're going to be working ourselves silly to get ready to be out of here by February 9. I'm not in the best physical condition for all this right now but... I'm getting a lot of help and offers of help- thank goodness! :)

We'll be living with my parents here in Mt. Vernon until our house is completed (probably around July). It's kind of a bummer that the house won't be ready for the baby when he arrives.... but he'll get to be spoiled by his grandparents more this way! :)

Jan. 16 We're 23 weeks along! And man... is this baby kicking and moving around like crazy! I LOVE IT!!
Jan. 18 My husband is so cute. We went to line up a storage unit for our household items until our house is built (wow... that's so cool to say!). And as we were talking with the office workers/owner, we mentioned we were pregnant (as if they couldn't tell) and Danny whips out his baby pictures! ha! He has the ultrasound photos on his ipod and showed them the pictures. That's so cute!!
Jan. 25

Sorry it's been awhile since the last update. Things have been going a bit crazy around here and I'm trying really hard not to get stressed out. It's really hard working, and doing your daily chores and still find the energy at the end of the day and weekends to pack your house while being 6 mos pregnant. I'm exhausted. But... it will only be a couple more weeks and we'll be moved out. Then the real stress hits! ha! building a house! But I'm super excited about it too. AND, our builder said he could have our house built (weather permitting) within 60 days! So we may actually be in our new home before the baby is born. Oh I pray that happens!!

By the way, we are no 24 weeks along!
