HUGE NEWS DAY!! First baby news. Danny FINALLY got to feel the baby kick!! I can't tell you how happy that made me!! It seemed like every single time I would tell him to put his hand on my stomach, the baby would stop moving. And let me tell you... this little guy is ACTIVE!!!
Now for other news. As some of you may know, we had our house on the market late last year for about a week and took it off because we were just not ready to sell. We felt like we were being rushed and decided there was no hurry. Since finding out we're pregnant, we decided to go ahead and place our house on the market either this month or February, but wanted to do a couple things around the house to get it ready to show. Of course, we haven't had any opportunity to do those things! :)
Well, we got a call from our realtor (who is working with us on building our new house and was going to put our house on the market when we were ready). He told us there was a guy looking for a house in town but nothing appealed to him and he just knew our house was a perfect fit and would like to show it (even though it's off the market). We thought... sure!
The guy (and his fiance) came to look at the house this past Saturday. As Danny and I left the house we were talking and said that even though the house isn't "show" ready, if these are the people God wants us to sell to, He'll allow these people to look past it's cosmetic flaws.
We got a call that afternoon... THEY PUT AN OFFER ON THE HOUSE!!!! And we got what we wanted out of the house too! We are absolutely in shock, and amazed and overwhelmed with joy and AWE of what God did! We signed the contract on Sunday and we will be closing on February 14. Which, as most of you know is already a big day for Danny and I... that's when he proposed to me! :)
It's kind of short notice... and we're going to be working ourselves silly to get ready to be out of here by February 9. I'm not in the best physical condition for all this right now but... I'm getting a lot of help and offers of help- thank goodness! :)
We'll be living with my parents here in Mt. Vernon until our house is completed (probably around July). It's kind of a bummer that the house won't be ready for the baby when he arrives.... but he'll get to be spoiled by his grandparents more this way! :) |
