Today was Ben's first time to go to church. Danny was just BEAMING when he held him and walked him around and introduced Benjamin to everyone. He is one proud pappa!! :) He did really good for the most part except he started getting fussy (due to hunger) in the middle of service. So, I took him out and fed him. |

Some of you have been asking what is going on with our house situation. Well.. nothing. The previous buyer is still trying to get his loan and meanwhile the house is on the market but haven't had any takers yet. And, we have decided to move back into our house and take it off the market by the end of June. We can't live with my parents forever and we all need our privacy. Specially now that we have a little one. And we just figure that since the house hasn't sold yet, it just wasn't meant to be for us right now. We're pretty bummed because we were looking SOOOO forward to building a new home. But... God has different plans for us so we'll wait and see what that plan is! :) So... if you want to buy our house... you only have a few weeks to do it so hurry up! ha! ha! :) |

Benjamin had a cardio appointment today and he passed again with flying colors! The right side of his heart is getting smaller and not pumping as hard and fast as it was. We go back in the middle of July for another check up but I'm sure he'll do fabulous at that appointment too! After the appointment, we took him to Danny's work to s how him off. Of course they all thought he was adorable... because he is!! :) |

The Irish eyes are smilin'! :) Well... it looks like the Irish has won out over the Germans folks! Little Benjamin seems to be growing some redish hair!! We're both at a loss as to where the red is coming from in our gene pool... but I'm sure someone on my Irish side of the pond had some red hair. Now Danny can't say Benjamin doesn't have any Irish in him! tee hee!! (We'll show him, right grandpa Murphy?!) |

Ben went to his first Church picnic. They also had a BBQ cook off and Danny got to be one of the judges. Totally unfair!! We watch the Food Network all the time at those cook off comps and we're always talking about how fun it would be to be one of the judges and there he is... a judge. He loved it! :) Ben had a good time too. He got to be held by a lot of people and even got to show off his little scar to a few folks. Steffan was so cute with him today too. He sure loves his little brother! :)
Danny also gave our testimony today at church about everything that happened with Benjamin and the delivery. Basically saying that God doesn't always answer our prayers the way we would like because he has other plans and we should try to be patient and wait on Him. For example, we prayed and prayed (as well as 100's of other people) for Ben to be healed before he was born so he wouldn't have to have surgery. However, if he was healed, we wouldn't have been in St. Louis for the delivery. If I went into labor here in Mt. Vernon and Ben kicked the hole in my uterus (like he did in St. Louis) we would have never made it to the hospital (45 min away)... and never would have lived to tell this story. So God had us in the right place, at the right time to save both of our lives. We are extremely thankful for this unanswered prayer. :) |

Daddy's first Father's Day. We went up to his parent's house in Marshfield after church. This was the first time some of the family got to meet Benjamin. They all thought he was a sweetie of course. And Ben blew me and Danny away. He slept the entire day because he was being held by everybody. He only woke up to eat but other than that, he was zonked! We were REALLY nervous how he would be that night... if he would sleep or not. And boy did he! He slept 6 hours straight! YEEHAAWW!!
Oh.. and come to find out... Danny has a bit of Irish in him afterall! :) His Dad's mother was very Irish. tee hee! |

My grandma Farrell said that infants get spoiled quickly and she was right. Ben got a tad spoiled yesterday after being held all day and seemed to be expecting the same treatment today. This... was a rough day! ha! |
